I reckon Mediterranean gull has a strong case for being the most beautiful
British gull in whatever plumage you care to mention, and that includes
juvenile plumage. There's a really nice looking individual currently on Taylor
Park lake and it's shows really well, down to a few metres.
I've seen quite a few of these on Formby beach over the past week, but none have been anywhere near as obliging as this bird.
