At first I was quite surprised to see the Dipper on such a small stream and on such a steep gradient, but I suppose the larger and perhaps more suitable streams down below are so swollen at the moment that these higher streams are probably its best bet.
I love this photo. It was raining and the Dipper was in quite a dark location, and this photo is taken at 24x optical zoom. Because of all of this it was on a very low f/stop, making the water looks amazing, almost like molten silver flowing over the rocks! I like it anyhow...
