This smart drake scaup was with tufted ducks off the boat club this morning,
when there was also a female common scoter. Also today two green sandpipers on
the spit, about 200 sand martins, at least one swallow and several each of
singing willow warblers and blackcaps.
In other news, this cracking bar-headed goose arrived at the flash about a
week ago. It's obviously an escape but is unringed and very mobile, often seen
flying around the flash. I've seen it at the boat club, from the ruck and on
the spit, but these photos were taken on the car park.
