Bits and bobs at Pennington Flash

Just a trickle of good birds each day to keep me interested at the moment, this morning brought my first juvenile dunlin of the year at the flash.

At least two or three pochard are on the flash now, this pair were with the coots off the car park yesterday.

This little egret can be seen anywhere from the western end to Teal hide.

Other birds today included 11 common terns with at least 4 juveniles, adult and two juvenile great black-backs still, and two Egyptian geese. Yesterday brought my first juvenile common gull of the year and best of all, two Sandwich terns which I failed to connect with.
