Curlew 6
Buzzard 3
Rooks 5 in small Rookery
The Curlew flew in "bubbling" and landed in the field in front of me. Hopefully the flock will grow over the next few weeks and by the end of April will contain a few Whimbrel. Only 5 nests, but I don't know of any other Rookery in St Helens.

Hi Andrew. SD456003. Go down Rainford bypass to Dairy Farm Road. Walk down DfR to the end then turn left for about 100 yards down the Old Coach Road. The birds were in the fields on the right. I use bridge type camera, so I don't have a long lens. I got fairly close, but they can be distant. Depends how lucky you are!
