Last year I found the Longhorn beetle Agapanthia villosoviridescens, (Golden-bloomed Grey Longhorn) in the fields adjacent to the mere. With the news that it has now also been found on Stanley Bank Meadow we had another look today to see if we could find it again at the mere. The weather was rapidly going downhill when we got to the mere, but we were able to find one specimen.
