Cuckoo 1 calling
Common Tern 1
Lesser Redpoll 3 displaying
Oystercatcher 1
Whitethroat 5 singing
The Cuckoo was the first I have heard this year and only the third I have heard at the mere since 1999.
It's always nice to see Lesser Redpolls displaying. They breed at the mere in very small numbers.
