Hi Andrew, no I don't know where he means. I used to know several places for Little Owl, mainly in the Rainford area, but I haven't seen a Little Owl locally for years.

ReplyDeleteGreat to hear about the Little Owl sightings near Red Barn Rd.
Saddlers Lane off the East Lancs Road in Windle can sometimes be a good spot for them and the last place I have seen one about 18 months ago was sat on the roof of the farm buildings at Forsters Farm Moss Bank on the walk up to Crank Caverns.
Nationally the Little Owl is believed to be in decline.

There was an owl in my garden this evening in Billinge. It sat on top of a wooden archway for about 30 seconds.
